Resume After Log Out

Automatic resume of applications and windows after logout is, by default, enabled in OS X. You can, however, permanently prevent this behavior per-user by deselecting the option when prompted to verify logout. Unlike in previous versions of OS X, this option stays disabled once a user deselects it in the logout dialog.

Tip

If the resume after logout feature is turned off, you can temporarily enable it by holding the Option key when you log out.
